.This is an original and official souvenir invitation to the Inauguration of Barack Obama January 20, 2009. It is framed in a very nice mahogany style frame that is ideal for an office, den, library of part of a memorabilia collection. The embossed invitation was produced by The Presidential Inaugural Committee. It is in excellent mint condition. This is an original invitation - not a reproduction. Always be careful and read the copy carefully when viewing listings for Obama invitations. There are quite a few that we see that are actually reproductions and sometimes that information is not obvious in the listing. For those of you who have wondered why we have not listed an Obama inaugural invitation until now, the answer is simple. We felt that the prices that were being asked by dealers and auction houses for these items were ridiculous and unfair to collectors. We saw invitations being offered for sale for $200 - $500. For that reason we decided to wait until the price of these items came down to a reasonable level after the euphoria associated with the inauguration. We now feel that point has been reached
