Original badge from the 1952 Democratic Convention that nominated Adlai Stevenson. The badge is a Radio & TV badge with ribbon and medal still attached. The badges were distributed to radio and television crews. Interesting that "radio" appeared ahead of "TV" on the badge, we guess a sign of the importance of radio in 1952 over the "new medium" of television.
Historical Notes
Estes Kefauver of Tennessee let after the first ballot but eventually lost the democratic nomination to Adlai Stevenson
