The letter, on New York State Governor letterhead, was written to Mrs. J.K. Ogden Sherwood of Glen Cove N.Y. asking her to accept the appointment to the Executive Committee that was established to guide the establishment of the Veterans' Memorial Hospital at Kings Park, New York.
