Official beautifully engraved appointment certificate from the Republican National Convention, held June 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The convention nominated Thomas Dewey to run for President vs. Harry Truman.This card stock certificate was intended to appoint someone as a Page at the convention. It is in mint condition and was never assigned and was printed by the E.A. Write Bank Note company. Original. Also, includes the original envelope although the envelope is torn on the reverse.
