Historical Notes
The introductory letter begins: "Dear Governor Connally: Attached hereto you will find a report on the assassination of President Kennedy, the serious wounding of yourself, and the murder of Officer J.D. TIppit. This report supplements the report of the Presidential Special Commission, and its purpose is to set out the manner in which Texas shouldered its responsibility in the investigation.
