Official large poster size ballot from the 1920 Presidential campaign. These numbered ballots were used by citizens voting in the 1920 election. The Democratic Party candidates were James M. Cox for President and Franklin D. Roosevelt for Vice President. The Republican Party candidates were Warren G. Harding for President and Calvin Coolidge who went on to win the election. Voters were to place an X within the circle of the candidate they wished to vote for. Original, of course. The reverse has the printed inscription "Official Ballot for Presidential Electors County of Dutchess Second Assembly District Town of Hyde Park November 2, 1920. Above the inscription if the number of the ballot. Great conversation piece for an office or collection - especially if framed.
Historical Notes
Franklin D. Roosevelt (who later went on to become President of the Untied States) was the Vice Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. Coincidentally, the ballot is from Hyde Park New York, home of Frankin Roosevelt.
