1993 Metropolitan Police (MPDC) US Presidential Inauguration Badge medal from the 1993 US Presidential Inauguration of Bill Clinton and Al Gore. Very fine condition, in the form of the traditional breast shield, in heavy antiqued brass, with pin, clasp, and solid back. Reads " Metropolitan Police, D.C. Inauguration of the President of the United States." With white and blue enamel circle panels. Includes the U.S. seal (Bald Eagle with an olive branch and 13 arrows in its talons, representing the original 13 colonies, while clutching a scroll with the motto "E Pluribus Unum" meaning "out of many, one") and an engraved Bald Eagle perched stop the badge. Made by Bastian in Geneva, NY. Numbered on the reverse. 

Historical Notes
Metropolitan Police of DC are sold to non-law enforcement persons to own after the inauguration of the President has passed, and the badges are "retired."
