Interesting postcard from the inauguration of William Taft as President. The front of the postcard shows a photo of the inauguration with the huge crowd in attendance. On the reverse, which is just as interesting, it includes a handwritten from the sender dated March 5, 1909, the day after the inauguration it took a day for the photo postcards to be printed!) it reads in part "Had a fine time even if it was such a bad day. Wish you could have been here. I was in that crowed. Can you see me?". The bad weather referred to was a blizzard. The card is postmarked March 6th in Washington, D.C. with a flag postmark.
