Badge from the Inauguration of President William McKinley and Vice President Garret Hobart, 1897. This badge is a very difficult to find "floor" badge, as noted on the ribbon which also includes a red, white and blue flag.
The three medal pieces of the badge were originally held together by the ribbon but have separated by age. The top section is in the shape of the United States Capitol building.
The bottom piece is a medal featuring graphic of Mckinley and Hoborat and is suspended from an additional piece that says "Inauguration March 4, 1897. The Size of bottom medal is 44 mm.
Amazing detail, including scroll work which includes a list of the States in each piece of the wreath..

The ribbon has separated from the badge and is tattered. The medal pieces in very good condition, with normal toning and two very small oxidation spots.
