1789 Rare George Washington Long Live the President 20mm Size Button

Rare George Washington 1789 Inaugural Clothing Button This distinctive laurel wreath design was made in two sizes, of which this is the far rarer 20mm size. We have only seen two or three of this size in the last forty-eight years. One was in awful condition (this one is slightly better) and one in superb condition and sold at Heritage Auctions for $15,000 (this one is not that condition). If you are a serious George Washington collector than you will want to own this rare variety even in the worn condition. Original, of course. 

We have taken two different photographs to help viewing the condition. As you can see, when viewed from a second angle there is still some of the original gilding present.
