Very God, the front cover shows some minor soiling, and the leather tassle / ribbon, which we were very surprised was still there, is falling apart but it is primarily decorative.

The Union League of Philadephia is well known for its beautiful and elaborate invitations and programs. This invitation is no exception. This set includes both the Program with menu inside and the invitation to the banquet held on May 9th, 1905. Typically these events had featured speakers, including senators, presidents, generals etc. but we have not yet been able to determine who the guest was on that date. However, portraits of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Rooevelt are included int he program, and the event took place during Roosevelt's term as President. Original.
The Union League has hosted numerous U.S. presidents (and almost every Republican President since Abraham Lincoln, other heads of state, industrialists, entertainers and dignitaries from around the world.
