This 2 1/4” patriotic design graphic litho featuring a draped American flags surrounding blue oval portraits of Herbert Hoover and Charles Curtis. One of our all time favorite buttons. These campaign buttons were from the 1928 presidential election. The reverse includes the original cardboard with the Greenduck Co. markings. See condition description below. Original, of course.
In 1928, Herbert Hoover and Charles Curtis ran a unique ticket: Curtis, Hoover’s running mate, was the first person of Native American ancestry nominated for national office by a major party. A member of the Kaw Nation, Curtis had grown up on a Kansas reservation.
