Original ticket to the State of the Union Address by President Jimmy Carter to the 95th Congress on January 19, 1978. With embossed Great Seal of the United States. These tickets that are numbered on the reverse are not often seen since they were obviously issued to VIP's and in limited quantity. Those in attendance included Members of Congress, Members of the President's Cabinet, Supreme Court Justices and other VIP's at Reagan's actual address to Congress.
The Republican Party response was delivered by Senator Howard Baker of Tennessee and John Rhodes of Arizona.
