1860s Rare Abraham Lincoln Embossed Knox & Lang Civil War Campaign Cover - Last one! The cover label depicts a cameo of a beardless American Lincoln with the 1860 date beneath and the text: "Abraham Lincoln Knox & Lang Worcester" surrounding the beautifully embossed image of Lincoln. Interestingly, rather than the cameo being printed directly on the envelope it is used as a label that is attached to the cover directly over the illustration of the "traitor" John Bell. Whether the original owner saw this as a pro-Lincoln or Anti-John Bell cover, is a mystery. Also includes a patriotic American Flag with the inscription "Stand by the Flag". Original.
From a large patriotic Civil War collection in very fine condition, that we recently acquired, that included several Lincoln covers.
This collection of Civil War covers included many different interesting and hard-to-find patriotic items. We haven't even listed 10% of the items from this collection - so stay tuned!
