1960s Lyndon Johnson LBJ Air Force One Double Deck Playing Cards Sealed. We don't come across many of these Air Force One double deck playing card set. It includes two full decks with a pull-out compartment for access in the original box with two playing cards attached on one side the Seal of the President on the other. Original.
From a collection of presidential playing cards we recently acquired.
President Lyndon B. Johnson used Air Force One extensively to project presidential power and maintain a constant presence across the nation. He conducted meetings in flight, showcased the aircraft as a symbol of American strength abroad, and often used it for whirlwind political trips. Johnson believed the jet kept him accessible, visible, and always in control.
