JFK2017
Secret Service agent Kinney was driving the "Queen Mary," the Secret Service follow-up car that was directly behind the presidential limousine the day that President John F. Kennedy was shot.
In late 1991, Kinney wrote to St. Martin's Press, publisher of Bonar Menninger's 1992 book Mortal Error: The Shot That Killed JFK, in defense of Secret Service agent George Hickey, who the book claims accidently fired the shot that hit Kennedy's head, the fatal shot. Menninger was a ballistics expert who claimed the fatal bullet was not fired by Oswald did not fire.
In the letter Kinney states "I was driving the car at the time and i can ssure you there was not a gun fired from the USSS follow-up car. "
In Kinney's notes inside the book, with his Special Agent business card attached, Kinney again states that "It is stor that should have been published" since Kinney states he ws in the car and no one heard a shot.
Includes both the signed letter to the publisher and the book, with Kinney's comments and his business card attached.
Details
Kinney stated he was the Secret Service Agent standing over the President’s limo with a bucket at his feet who was seen washing out the back of the car. He stated he did that to protect the image of the President.
