Official 1941 inaugural medal for Franklin Delano Roosevelt's third term. This is the official inaugural medal produced in very limited quantity. Designed by John Ray Sinnock and produced for the inaugural committee. This is the scarcer type 1 variety. Very fine condition
There were two varieties of the 1941 inaugural medal produced. Type 1 and Type 2. Essentially they are the same medal, however the type 2 variety (which was produced later) has the number two on the reverse towards the top under the letter "U" in the word "inauguration.
