Menu, program ticket and seating card form the 1894 New England Society of Pennsylvania Banquet & Festival. The menu includes an exquisite engraving as shown in one of the photos. The set includes the menu, program, ticket to the event , envelope and a seating card from Judge Armstrong. The event was held at the Continental Hotel, December 22nd 1894. Original.
Interestingly, the program which includes a list of Toasts given by various individuals, lists the first toast as "The President's Address", with this being the only toast that did not mention the name of the individual giving the toast. We have not been able to verify whether it was Grover Cleveland (who was President at the time) or perhpas the President of the organization). It would not surprise us if it was indeed the President of the United States, given that so many attendees of the organization's events were the the families of New England "royalty".
