1910 Invitation To See President Taft & Secretary of The Treasury at Knollwood Dublin. Interesting invitation "To meet the President and Mrs. Taft, The Secretary of the Treasury and Mrs. MacVeagh. The event took place on August 27th, 1910, not at The White House but at MacVeagh's Knollwood summer estate in Dublin, New Hampshire. Since the event was not hosted by President Taft, there is no seal of the president at the top of the invitation card. The spelling of the recipients name was corrected on the invitation, whether that was done by the recipient or the McVeaghs we do not know. Original.
