Humorous Civil War patriotic cover caricaturing Confederate General P.G.T. Beauregard in full retreat with the caption: “Gen. BEAUREGARD on his Homeward March.” Printed in red ink, the design shows the Confederate general racing away in exaggerated cartoon fashion, likely intended as Union propaganda following a Southern setback.
