Classic 1789 George Washington Brass "Memorable Era" Inaugural Button. Often considered one of the best designed G.W. inaugural buttons. With original shank. The design features an eagle with widespread wings and a sunburst above. With the Inscription "March 4 1789 Memorable Era" on the front. Brass. Overall very fine condition, with the individual stars in the shield still clearly visible. The last four letters in Memorable Era are not visible. Original, of course. Purchased by the owner from Joe Levine's President Coin & Antique Co, Inc.
