1964 Go! Go! Kennedy Commanders Colorado School Kelly Green Mascot Button. Vintage button from John F. Kennedy High School which opened in 1964 in Denver Colorado. It was name in honor of President John F. Kennedy following his assassination in 1963. Obviously, not issue as a campaign item but certainly interesting for the JFK collector. Original.
The button’s green color is highly significant. JFK High School’s official school colors are Navy Blue and Kelly Green. The green was specifically chosen to represent President Kennedy's proud Irish heritage.
