Original sixteen page souvenir program from the 1885 inauguration ball of Grover Cleveland. Lists members of the committees, reception, promenade concert, dance program etc. With original string and pencil still attached. Portraits on front. It's amazing what excites us these days. What makes this item special, in addition to its very fine condition, is this is the first time we have seen the embossed envelope that the programs came in. The envelope may be in weak condition but we've never seen another.
Grover Cleveland is the only President to have served two non-consecutive terms, first in 1885 and again later in 1893.
