From a colllection of Presidential election cartoons – each from the dates, pictured candidates, and themes, it is clear that all are presidential closely connected to presidential campaigns. Each, framed, measures 15” x 20”. Each frame is pine, painted black. Each matt is two-ply 100% rag “museum matt-board.” Almost all of were found, in 1970-71, at the Argosy Gallery and Bookstore, East 59th St. in New York, that is famous for its scenes in the movie, “Annie Hall.” To select these, the owner searched through thousands of prints in Argosy’s voluminous collections, taking about two hours each week while attending a class next door, “Public Relations and Community Affairs,” an NYU seminar offered through Ruder & Finn Public Relations” during his “Junior Year in New York program,” under the auspices of Dartmouth College and New York University.
