1949 Harry Truman Official Inaugural Medal

 Typically these medals show significant signs of wear on many of the high points of the medal but not this one. Lori and I actually had a debate on whether to mark this as Superb or X-fine. I felt is should be listed as Superb since it is clean, bright, has no typical high point rubbing marks and since there is only a barely noticeable thin diagonal mark in the background at 2 o'clock on the front,  which can only be seen if you tilt the medal just right. Lori's view was that it should be listed as X-fine, which is still exceptional, and that we should try our best to show the mark in the photo, and also a dot on the edge/curl of the medal.  Of course, a happy wife means a happy life,  so she won the argument and we are only listling it as X-fine and we literally took eight different photographs before we could show the mark on the front. But I still think i was right and i'm the one doing the typing :)
