1960 Kennedy, Humphrey, Freeman, Matthews Minnesota Coattail Button. Top left features image of United States Capitol with photo of John F. Kennedy at the right with his name. This 1960 Minnesota campaign button promoted the DFL ticket alongside John F. Kennedy. It supported Hubert Humphrey for U.S. Senate, Orville Freeman for Governor, and John Blatnik for the U.S. House of Representatives. These "coattail" pins are prized by collectors for featuring the entire state and national Democratic lineup. Not easy to find button. Original.

Orville Freeman ran for re-election as the Governor of Minnesota. He was later appointed as the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture by Kennedy.
