Scarce early magazine that featured a young John F. Kennedy as its cover story in 1946 long before is election as President in 1960. PIC, "The Magazine for Young Men" published in 1946 not only before Kennedy ran for President but this was when he was running for his first term as a congressional candidate. The magazines editors recognized Kennedy in its special "youth in politics" edition featuring him on the cover as "The New Generation Offers A Leader". Kennedy is also featured in its multi-page story about young politicians entitled "The Battle for Ballots".
A very prophetic portion of the article points out that "Politics is a serious business with him" and goes on to quote Kennedy "I intend to make it my life's work." Why is this magazine so hard to find? Simple; who ever thought to save copies of the magazine and who knew in 1946 that this young war veteran from Massachusetts would ever be elected senator let along President of the United States. Would also look great framed. Original.
