1966 Lyndon Johnson Signing Pen - March 16, 1966 U.S Asian Development Bank Bill. Original pen. The description included with each of the boxes used that day states "One of the pens used by the President, March 16, 1966 in signing H.R. 12563, an Act to transfer toprovide for the participation of the United States in the Asian Developement Bank.
The Eversharp pen has the Seal of the President, facsimile signature of the President and "The White House" inscribed on the barrel of the pen in gold. Includes the original presentation box with Seal of the President in the center and President Johnson's facsimile signature printed on the right. Original replacement ink cartridge underneath, along with the official simple typed descriptive card from the event.
"During World War II when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the first Veterans' Readjustment Act, he stated on the occasion of that signing, "This law gives emphatic notice to the men and women of our Armed Forces that the American people never intend to let them down."
