Original White House signing pen from Lyndon Johnson's term in office. The description included with each of the boxes used that day states "One of the pens used by the President, on March 22, 1968 in signing S.J. Res. 123, Joint Resolution to approve long-term contracts for delivery of water from Navajo Reservoir in the Sate of New Mexico, and for other purposes." The Eversharp pen has the Seal of the President, facsimile signature of the President and The White House inscribed on the barrel of the pen in gold. In presentation box with Seal of the President in the center and President Johnson's facsimile signature printed on the right. along with simple typed descriptive card from the event.

"During World War II when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the first Veterans' Readjustment Act, he stated on the occasion of that signing, "This law gives emphatic notice to the men and women of our Armed Forces that the American people never intend to let them down."
