3 Inch Diameter, very thick 1/4 inch depth medal. 1863 Joint Resolution of Congress. Major General Ulysses S Grant. Reverse side, "Mississippi River". Later restrick U.S. Mint bronze medal. One of our US Mint medals.
Ulysses S Grant was borth in 1822 and was the son of an Ohio Tanner.
