Rare New Yorkers for Nixon Large 8" Diameter Cardboard Pin Back Badge Button. We have only seen one other of these rare badges and that was sold in 2017 at Hake's auctions for $242.47 in similar condition. On the reverse is a pin - a safety pin - as it was originally issued. Certainly and unusual political collectible. Walking around with an 8" diameter cardboard button must have gotten a quite a bit of attention in those days!
Yes, it really does have a safety pin on the reverse. Leave it to the ingenuity of New Yorkers. We have only seen one other of these button/badges in the last 48+ years and that one had a safety in on the reverse too.
