There were two types of invitations distributed for the inauguration. The first is a souvenir invitation (which is a larger size then this one) with a raised seal at the top on ivory colored paper stock. These were distributed by the Inaugural Committee as a souvenir and did not offer entry to the ceremonies. The second is what is called a congressional invitation, which is this one, which was an actual invitation to the ceremonies.
