Original handbook from the State Visit of Richard Nixon to Reykavik, Ireland October 3-5, 1970, to meet with Prime Minister Jack Lynch. During the visit, Nixon's motorcade was pelted with eggs and signs criticising Nixon and the Vietnam War.

This multi-page handbook was given to Nixon's entourage, including the Air Force One flight crew that stood ready to leave at a moments notice. It included an extremely detailed list of every minute of the trip, including the eight different events held during the visit. Not often do you get to see these handbooks.

This is part of a collection we recently acquired from the estate of a former Air Force One crew chief.

Details

Three people  stood out from the crowd to throw eggs at the car, cracking them against the door and the windscreen.
