1888 President Benjamin Harrison Vesta Match Safe Case. Brass match plate with the bust of President Benjamin Harrison. Interesting item that flips open at the bottom when button is pushed. On the bottom lid is the words "The Famous" on one side and "St. Louis on the other. We have no idea what this refers to and the inscription relates, if at all. Original.
Match safe holders were popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's and were meant to hold a number of matches.
