1860s "O, Where Are All My Friends?" Long CSA Solider Facing Union Eagle. Illustration of lone solder with C.S.A. flag attempting to fight off a larger Union Eagle using just his sword. Original and unused.
From a large recently acquired collection of patriotic Civil War Covers that we recently acquire.
Jefferson Davis was commonly referred to as "Jeff Davis" during the Civil War as a shortened, familiar, and sometimes derogatory nickname. While he disliked the nickname personally, it was used by both supporters and detractors to refer to the President of the Confederate States of America.
