1861 Rare Broadside Poster "Birth-day Ode in Memory of Washington Deferentially Dedicated to Abraham Lincoln. Dated Philadelphia, PA., February 1861 at the bottom right. With image of Eagle and E. Pluribus Unum type at top. "Birth-Day Ode In Memory of Washington, By George L. Stevens . Deferentially dedicated to Abraham Lincoln, President, and to all patriots in every state and territory of the United States.". Dated February 1861 two months before the start of the Civil War. Ode in seventy unnumbered four-line stanzas and printed in three columns. At the very bottom it credits Samuel Loag, Printer, N.E. Corner of Fourth and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia. Would look excellent framed. Original.
