Signed Program for the Texas State Teachers Association convention held in Dallas, Texas November 28-30, 1957. Personally signed in pen by then Senator John F Kennedy under his photograph for the recipient a teacher in the Dallas school system who attended the event. According to the John F Kennedy Library & Museum, in his speech John F. Kennedy discussed the importance of education to fight the growing threat of communism, a need for greater scholarship in politics, and a need to improve the public education system in the United States." 32 pgs.
Particularly interesting, the program states that John F Kennedy was introduced to the attendees by his future Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, and their photos appear next to each other in the program. Furthermore, in another twist of fate, six years later almost to the day, JFK would be assassinated just four minutes away from the teachers convention location, in downtown Dallas, Texas.
Excellent gift item for someone special or for your personal collection.
Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from a forensic document examiner and our 100% guarantee of authenticity.
The recipient's attendance badge/sticker is partially attached to the cover of the program adding additional provenance to the signed program.
