The Metal plaque reads "ORIGINAL WHITE HOUSE MATERIAL REMOVED IN 1950" with Presidential Seal in the center. A remarkable wonderful and scarce piece of presidential history. Great conversation piece.

The rebuilding of The White House took place from 1949 to 1952 under the administration of President Harry Truman. During this time the struture was gutted, expanded and rebuilt.
