1912 Republican National Convention Rhode Island Badge. Not often seen scarce badge since Rhode Island had only 10 delegates to the convention. The convention nominated incumbent William Taft for President. Capitol dome header with white enamel 'Rhode Island" with short off-white ribbon from which hangs a shield shaped medal with anchor 'Hope', and blue enameled background. The reverse states National Republican Convention Chicago, Ill, June 18th, 1912. We have (or had) two of these badges in our collection this one has small pulls in the silk ribbon where it attaches at the top and bottom. Original.
The convention's platform included the support for a minimum wage law for women.
