Gold on brown and meant to be distributed to a Page at the convention. In a somewhat unusual move, the name of the Sergeant at Arms at the convention, John I. Martin, appears at the bottom of the ribbon.. Original.

The convention saw a deep divide between pro-silver and pro-gold factions, with Bryan’s free silver platform prevailing over incumbent President Grover Cleveland’s gold standard policies.
