1918 Woodrow Wilson Signed Certificate Appointing Ambassador to Denmark. Partly-printed document signed by, “Woodrow Wilson,” as President, appointing John Elwin Kehl, “Ambassador of the United States of America at Aarhus, Denmark.
Signed just seven months before the end of World War I. Kehl (1870-1936) served as a U.S. ambassador from 1897 until his retirement in 1932. Countersigned by Secretary of State Robert Lansing, one page, measures 23 by 19 inches, contains the fully-intact white paper seal and a Denmark Ministry of Foreign Affairs stamp, created in Washington, DC. Includes the document, the Certificate of Authenticity and an 8"x10" photo of President Wilson suitable for framing along with the document. Original.
