Exquisite "in memoriam" ribbon badge from the Henry A Pope Post No. 411, G.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) Pana, Illinois. Based on the original Whitehead & Hoag manufacturers label on the reverse, we date the item to be around 1896-1900. Very attractive and ornate item with all the original pieces still firmly attached. Original, and the only one of these fine examples that we have ever seen.
