Quick Overview

Original classic button promoting U.S. Senator John F Kennedy for Vice President. 1956 campaign. Kennedy was being promoted as a serious candidate for Vice President at the Democratic National Convention. The original owner of this pin made its preferences known by literally scratching off the word "Vice" and leaving it to read President. On one hand It's a shame that the button was marked this way, but also a sign of what JFK meant to many voters as well as a unique opportunity to acquire this much sought after button for a fraction of its typical price.

At the 1956 Democratic National Convention, John F Kennedy gave the nominating speech for the party's presidential nominee, Adlai Stevenson II. Senator Estes Kefauver of Tennessee but receiving national exposure as a result.
