Original silk purse created for the Italian Commerce event in New York City in 1908 at the Waldorf Astoria. Written in Italian on inside of silk purse. Outside has very attractive portraits of President Theodore Roosevelt and King of Italy Victor Emmanuel III. This is only the second of these rare items we have ever seen. Ornate design with pockets inside on either side. If you are searching for a truly rare piece relating to Teddy Roosevelt or Italian American history in the United States, this is it.
