1944 Truman Campaign Rally in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Photo

SKU: HST351

Availability: In stock

$75.00

Quick Overview

Bold and dramatic original photograph taken November 2, 1944 when Truman was still "Senator Truman" during a campaign stop for President Roosevelt in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Incredible photograph of a heavily male crowd and Truman addressing the crowd that was so large that many can actually be seen behind the podium. This photograph was used in a Pennsylvania daily newspaper, and includes on the reverse a copy of a portion of the photo that actually appeared in the newspaper. On the front you can see how the newspaper intended to "crop" the photograph by applying whiteout to show the press room where to crop the photograph. Would look great framed
