CES VOTOMATIC Voting Demonstrator. This is one of the infamous "handing chad" ballots that caused all the election nightmares back in 2000 during the race for the presidency between George W Bush and Al Gore. This comes as part of a CES Votomatic Voting Demonstrator machine used in Palm Peach County, Florida, that we will be selling seperately at a later date. It was used at the polling places and as educational aids to help people to understand how to operate the actual voting machine and marked "Demonstrator". Poke a few of the numbers yourself and see how easy or hard you think it was to vote and not leave a hanging chad! Great piece of American political history. Original.
Historical Notes
A "chad" is a fragments of paper left over when you punch a hole in a card. Voters in Florida at the time used Votomatic style punched card ballots. So a "hanging chad" is when you punch a hole in the card, and it does not punch the whole way leaving a little piece dangling.
