Scarce early and official Inaugural Medal Badge with Ribbon. 1893. Includes the original ribbon still attached to top attachment and medal. The top header states March 4, 1893 the date of the inauguration and the word INAUGURATION. The medal itself shows bust of both Grover Cleveland and Adlai Stevenson surrounding. The back of the header identifies White head & Hoag Newark, N.J. as the manufacturer. The reverse of the medal shows a vie of the Capitol and the words Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies and March 4, 1893 surrounding. Includes the original red, white and blue ribbon which attaches the upper header the medal. Origina, of course.

The inaugural ball at the Pension Building featured the new invention of electric lights.
