Kennedy was headed next to Austin for this event sponsored by The State Democratic Executive Committee. The young President was assassinated that day and the event never took place. This is an original and official invitation to the event that includes the original envelope mailed November 6th from Austin Texas to a business owner in Texas and forwarded to their new address in Wichita Falls on November 11th. It is not known whether the invitation actually arrived after the assassination but the owner kept this invitation for the last 45 years.
