1860 Abraham Lincoln & Hannibal Hamlin Campaign Ferrotype. Promoting Abraham Lincoln's 1860 campaign for President and Hannibal Hamlin for Vice President. Encased in a brass shell, holed at the top as issued, for suspension. Includes the ferrotype image of Lincoln on the obverse (front) and Hannibal Hamlin on the reverse. Lincoln ferrotypes are in increasingly high demand by collectors.

The all-important Lincoln image is in truly excellent condition and certainly a clearer and sharper image than we typically see. It has just a few scattered tiny marks and speckles and a small area of black marks on the left edge at 8 o'clock. The brass frame exhibits age-related toning and scattered surface wear on both sides (particularly on the Hamlin side). The Hannibal Hamlin photo shows a small area of surface loss on the left shoulder, a black mark over his left eye, as well as crazing visible when tilted in the light.  Original.
