Original "Honorary Assistant Secretary" badge from the 1940 Democratic National Convention held in Chicago, Illinois. The convention that nominated Franklin Delano Roosevelt for his third term in office. Header with Chicago lakefront view, with paper insert that reads HONORARY ASSISTANT SECRETARY, linked to a somewhat triangular medal with crossed flags, Capitol dome over a start above, 1940 Democratic National Convention inscribed below. At some point in histor there was likely a ribbon behind but it is long gone. Original.
